Day 1: Cusco - Mollepata – Soraypampa

Pick up at your hotel will be very early. The bus will take you to Mollepata then continue by car to get to Cruz Pata to begin the about 2-3 hour trek, until you reach Sayllapata where you’ll have lunch. After lunch, you will continue your hike to Soraypampa (3,850 m). Along this part of the road, we will be right in front of the first peak called Humantay. Then, we will arrive at your first campsite where our chef will be waiting for us with some hot tea to regain our strength. After a short rest, we will have dinner at our campsite.

Day 2: Soraypampa – Huayracmachay – Chauyay

Early in the morning, we will leave our campsite after breakfast. We will set off towards the Salkantay Pass (4600m/15092f), which offers an exceptional view of the snow-capped Salkantay Peak (6264m). Afterwards, we will descend down again and will have time to enjoy the increasing vegetation of the ecosystem. Our campsite will be in Chaullay (3000m/9842f), amidst the tropical jungle.

Day 3: Chauyay – La Playa – Santa Teresa

The third day will be dedicated to the region’s flora and its plantations. After going down into a dimmed forest and enjoying the diversity of species of orchids, bromeliads and many other plants, we will see coffee, cacao and fruit plantations. Moreover, we will have the pleasure to meet with local families of Wiñaypoco (2650m/8694f) and La Playa (2100m/6890f). where we will have the lunch, after thatwe will take the car to travel around 30 minutes to get to our campsite, Santa Teresa. You can also try some of the locally grown coffee.

Day 4: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes

At around 8:00 a.m. in the morning after breakfast, we will go by car for about 30 minutes until we get to the hydroelectric. Once we arrive at the hydroelectric, we will continue walking for about 2 hours until we arrive in Aguas Calientes.
Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes, you will settle into your accommodation and prepare for the next day up to the citadel of Machu Picchu (by bus round trip)

Day 5: Machu Picchu – Cusco

On the fourth day, our tour guide will be waiting for you in the lobby of your hotel to take you to the bus station where you will take the bus to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu, which is also referred to as “The lost citadel of the Incas”. The bus journey will be just 30 minutes, and when you arrive in Machu Picchu, our tour guide will start to explain to you about the different places you will be visiting at Machu Picchu. You will also have the option to climb Waynapicchu, and then you’ll have free time to take pictures.
In the afternoon, you’ll return to Aguas Calientes where you’ll have free time for lunch. After lunch, you will go to the train station to take the train to Poroy. At the train station in Ollantaytambo, our transfer will be there waiting for you so that we can take you to your hotel in Cusco.
