Day 1: Cusco - Lares - Huacawasi

On the first day, our transfer will wait for you in the lobby of your hotel to pick you up at around 6:00-6:20, then you’ll take our private bus to go towards Calca. Here, you’ll have a little bit of time to buy some products that you’ll need. After that, the bus will take you to the village of Lares, where we will start our hike.
When arriving in Lares, we will visit the hot springs where you will be able to enjoy the hot water while you have lunch. After lunch, you will start the hike going to the first campsite in Huacawasi (3600m/11811f).

Day 2: Huacawasi - Ipsaycocha - Patacancha

After breakfast, you’ll start hiking to the highest point of the Abra of Ipsaycocha (4350 m). After reaching the highest point, you will descend down and pass a beautiful lagoon before having lunch next to the river. Next, you will descend just for three hours more until you arrive at the town of Patacancha (second campsite). Along the trail, you’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful snowcapped mountains and you’ll also see herding llamas and alpacas.

Day 3: Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes

On the third day, after your breakfast, you’ll start hiking until you arrive in Ollantaytambo. During the hike you’ll pass traditional towns like Willoq and Pallaqta. You’ll also see the incredible landscapes. After the hike, you’ll have lunch in Ollantaytambo and then in the afternoon, you’ll take a train to Aguas Calientes. The train trip will be about one hour, and you’ll stay overnight in a hotel in Aguas Calientes.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

On the fourth day, our tour guide will be waiting in the lobby of your hotel to take you to the bus station, where you take a tourist bus to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu called “The lost citadel of the Incas”. The bus trip will be just 30 minutes. When you arrive in Machu Picchu, our tour guide will start to explain about the different places at Machu Picchu. You also have the option to visit Waynapicchu, and then you’ll have free time to take pictures.
In the afternoon, you’ll return to Aguas Calientes where you’ll have free time for lunch. After lunch, our tour guide will take you to the train station to take a train to Cusco.
