Today we will visit beautiful Inca villages with their colonial houses. On this unique and pleasant tour we will be able to appreciate the treasures that this sacred land hides. We will begin the day by visiting the experimental agricultural terraces of Moray in groups of circular terraces that measure up to 150 meters deep. According to historians, these constructions constituted an important Inca agricultural laboratory. Since their terraces are built with their respective irrigation channels and each of them constitutes a microclimate. What is most striking is the great difference in average annual temperature between the top and the bottom of the depressions, a difference of up to 15°C. Next we will go to the colonial site of Maras, a town that still preserves its Andean traditions and customs. We will be able to appreciate its beautiful architecture and its houses with colonial-style stone doorways. Then we will visit the Salineras de Maras. These mines continue to be exploited today, where farmers work day after day since the Inca era. Then we will pass through Urubamba, a charming place watched over by imposing mountains, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. We will delight in typical Peruvian cuisine with a variety of dishes that will include salads, soups, main courses, and delicious desserts. Finally, we will visit the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, a living town built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley, and prevent possible invasions. We will have a clearer idea of what this military, religious and cultural center was like during the Inca Empire. At the end of the tour we will drop you off at your hotel.
In the morning at agreed time, the representative of the hotel will transfer to the sacred valley train station. You will board the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, our guide will be waiting for you to direct us to the bus station, where for 30 minutes we will climb 400 m along a zigzag path to reach the incredible wonder of the world “The Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu” also known as “The Lost City of the Incas”. Upon arriving at the citadel with your guide, we will queue at the entrance of Machu Picchu and begin our tour of this amazing archaeological site. For two and a half hours we will visit the main important sites within the citadel of Machu Picchu.
After the guided tour, you will be given time to take pictures, before returning to the town of Aguas Calientes. You will have lunch at one of the many restaurants (lunch is not included), after which we will board the train on our return trip to Rio Sagrado train station (depending on the train departure time).
Upon arrival in Rio Sagrado train station, you will be able to collect your luggage from your hotel and then you will continue the trip to your hotel in Cusco.
This day you will visit the best places in Cusco and its surroundings. We will start with the Cathedral, located in the Plaza de Armas, it is the main church of the imperial city, it was built on the palace of the Inca Wiracocha. The Cathedral has more than 300 paintings from the Cusco art school. Then we will visit the Qoricancha, in the Quechua language it means “temple of gold”, it was the first temple built by the Incas, it was formerly covered with large quantities of gold and silver. We will leave the city of Cusco and arrive at the Saqsayhuaman complex, famous for its enormous stone blocks of more than 150 tons. In the Inca era it was considered the temple of lightning, “the god Illapa”. Next, we will visit the temple of Q’enqo, a place dedicated to Pacha Mama (Mother Earth) where you can see carved stone constructions. Then we will arrive at the impressive Inca fort Puka Pukara, in the Quechua language it means Red Fortress. Finally, we will arrive at Tambomachay, where we will see the sacred temple dedicated to the cult of water that probably also served as a purification bath for the Inca rulers. At the end of the afternoon we will return to Cusco, where we will drop you off at your hotel or, if you prefer, at the Plaza de Armas.
According to your flight schedule, our team will pick you up from your hotel and accompany you to the Cusco airport. As you embark on your journey home, we hope you carry unforgettable memories of your adventure with us. Thank you for letting us be part of your story—it’s not goodbye, but rather, until we meet again!
NOTE: If your return time is later than your departure time, you will be able to use the hotel’s common areas while you wait.

No. Tour cancellations due to bad weather conditions are non-refundable, as these are factors beyond our control.
According to the latest updates from the Direccion desconcentrada de Cultura de Cusco, all entrance tickets to Machu Picchu are for personal use. Therefore, tickets purchased for Machu Picchu are not reprogrammable, nor transferable to another date and/or person, nor are refundable.
The company that takes you by train to Machu Picchu does not allow you to take a suitcase of more than 5 kg. This means that most people pack a smaller backpack to spend the day in Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu, but people have doubts about where the larger luggage will stay during this time, you can leave it in the storage of the hotel in Cusco, at no extra cost.
PeruRail and IncaRail, the companies that provide train services in Peru, do not allow you to choose the seats on the trains. The distribution is done automatically by the company’s system.
We usually recommend to book the Expedition/Voyager train for the outbound trip and the Vistadome/360° panoramic train for the return trip, mainly because the outbound trip only has earlier departures, so this would mean missing the guided visit to the Ollantaytambo archaeological complex.
Fiebre Amarilla vaccination is not mandatory for visitors to Peru. However, it is an additional precaution, especially since it is a tropical country.
Travel insurance is not mandatory, but it is extremely important, especially for tourists who decide to travel to Peru.
The standard voltage in Peru is 230 volts, however, in some hotels there are plugs with 110, in this case, there are transformers that reduce the voltage.
Almost all establishments accept payments in dollars, so this will be the most used currency in the country. The ideal is to have an amount of dollars and a smaller amount of nuevo sol to make purchases at craft fairs, for example.
It is recommended to take dollars with you and exchange them in Peru at reliable exchange houses recommended by the travel agency.
The country’s weather is divided into two main seasons: rainy and dry.
The rainy season runs from December to the end of March and the dry season from April to October. In the region of Cusco and Machu Picchu, there is a lot of variation in temperature, but normally the maximum reaches 20°C and the minimum is close to 0°C.
In the Lima region, on the coast of Peru, temperatures are higher and range from 12°C to 35°C.
