The trip also includes a visit to the Sacred Valley of Incas and Valley Sur and will finish with a magnificent tour to Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world.

Day 1: Airport Cusco – City Tour

In Cusco our transfer will wait in the airport for you to take you until your hotel in Cusco.

You will first learn more about the city of Cusco, where on the first day, our staff will pick you up at your hotel. The first place that you will visit will be the cathedral, which is located in Cusco’s main square, where you can see about 300 paintings of the Cusquenian School. Then, the second place that you visit will be Qoricancha. This place is considered to be the place where the beginning of the empire of the Incas started. Qoricancha was one of the most important religious centers during the Inca period.

After visiting Qoricancha, our bus will wait for you to travel just outside of Cusco. The first archeological site that you will visit will be Sacsayhuaman, located a few minutes away from the city. Then, you will visit the archeological site of Qenqo, which is located a few minutes from Sacsayhuaman.

Day 2: Sacred Valley

The Sacred Valley of the Incas, also known as the Vilcanota Valley, is located between the towns of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo. During the period of the Incas, this valley was considered important because of its weather and the special land that this valley has.

The valley has different archeological sites like the ones in Pisaq, Ollantaytambo and in Chinchero, where you will be visiting all of these archeological places and will also eat a buffet lunch at the best place in the Sacred Valley. You will also get to see the incredible landscape that defines this valley.

Day 3: Moray – Maras – Salineras

In the morning, our transfer will be waiting for you in the lobby of your hotel to take our bus heading towards the first place that you’ll be visiting, which is Moray. it is an incredible archaeological complex, formed by agricultural terraces that overlap, taking the shape of a giant amphitheater.

These terraces were made up of a large agricultural laboratory where the Incas experimented with different terrains and climates to perfect their approaches to agriculture with the use of many crops. After that, you will visit the famous traditional town of Maras where you will see many homes that are emblazoned with coats of arms in stone lintels, indicating the importance the family had at the time of the homes’ creation. Then, we will visit the Inca salt pans (Salineras), which consist of large amounts of salt wells, which have been used since pre-Inca times and continue to produce some of the finest salt in the world.

Day 4: South Valley

Early in the morning, our transfer will be waiting for you in the lobby of your hotel to take a private bus to head towards the first place that you’ll be visiting: the archeological site of Tipon which contains twelve terraces built by the Inca Wiracocha. Then our transportation will take you to the second place, called Pikillaqta, which is an important archeological site built by the Wari Civilization and then finish off the tour in our transportation, taking you to Andahuaylillas, a traditional town where an important church is located. The church was built in the colonial period.

Day 5: Cusco – Aguas Calientes

We will pick you up early at your hotel in Cusco to take you to the train station in Ollantaytambo. The train journey will last for about 2 hours. During the trip, you’ll get to witness the amazing landscape of the Sacred Valley. Then you’ll arrive in Aguas Calientes, the small town right next to Machu Picchu. At the train station, our transfer will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day free so that you can explore some parts of the town.

Day 6: Machu Picchu – Cusco

On the sixth day, our tour guide will be waiting for you in the lobby of your hotel to take you to the bus station where you will board the bus to go to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu, which is referred to as “The lost citadel of the Incas”. The bus journey will take only 30 minutes. When you arrive in Machu Picchu, our tour guide will start to explain to you about the different parts of Machu Picchu you are seeing. You will also have the option to climb Waynapicchu (not included, book in advance). Then, you’ll have free time to take pictures.

In the afternoon, you’ll return to Aguas Calientes where you’ll have free time to eat lunch (not included). After lunch, our tour guide will take you to the train station to take a train back to Ollantaytambo. At the train station in Ollantaytambo, our transfer will be waiting for you so that we can take you to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 7: Hotel – Airport

Our transfer will be waiting for you in the lobby of your hotel to take you to the airport where our service concludes.
